DEATH TO SPIES MOMENT OF TRUTH

Moment of Truth is a sequel to the popular stealth action title Death to Spies. The game’s main character is Semion Strogov, a captain in the 4th department of the Soviet counterintelligence service called SMERSH. SMERSH, a Russian acronym that means “Death to Spies,” was the name of a set of Soviet military counterintelligence departments that were formed during World War II. Strogov is back from his previous missions and must now participate in a series of even more complicated and exciting military operations under the code name “Death to Spies: Moment of Truth”.

The hero possesses the skills to accomplish dangerous missions that include gathering information on the location of hostile military and civil units and assassinating enemy agents, including the Wehrmacht’s high-ranking officers. His task is to capture spies and saboteurs and gather information about their actions using unique technologies and devices.

ABOUT SMERSH: On April 19, 1943 the Commissariat of Defense of the USSR established a Counterintelligence Directorate known as “SMERSH” (a Russian acronym meaning “Death to Spies”). This organization was commissioned to combat anti-Russian intelligence and sabotage activities carried out by foreign secret services, primarily those of Hitler’s Germany. Intelligence and counter-intelligence activities behind enemy lines were carried out by the officers of the 4th Department of the “SMERSH” Chief Directorate. They received the most complicated and dangerous of tasks: espionage, counter-intelligence, sabotage, as well as operations that involved identifying, kidnapping and/or assassinating enemy VIPs.

LEFT 4 DEAD 2

Like Left 4 Dead, the sequel involves the aftermath of an apocalyptic pandemic. There has been an outbreak of a rabies-like pathogen that causes infected humans to behave like zombies. The four survivors have to fight their way through the hordes of infected, using safehouses along the way to rest and recover, in order to reach extraction points. Left 4 Dead 2 will be set in the Southern United States, starting in Savannah, Georgia and ending in New Orleans, Louisiana. The cast of Left 4 Dead has been replaced by 4 new survivors, whose backstory will again be provided through dialogue. Unlike the first game where there was no significant story development, Left 4 Dead 2 will feature a story arc. Three out of five planned campaigns have so far been announced: "Swamp Fever" which sees the survivors crossing vegetation-rich bayou, "The Parish" that takes place in proximity near a church, and "Dark Carnival" where the survivors must pass through a partially operating amusement park.

ARMA 2

Gameplay

ARMA 2 is a tactical shooter with significant vehicle and aircraft elements. The player is able to command AI squad members which adds a real-time tactics element to the game. This is further enhanced by introduction of the high command system, which allows the player to command multiple squads using the map. ARMA 2 is set primarily in the fictional Eastern European nation of Chernarus, (meaning "Black Russia’"). The Chernarus landscape is based heavily on the Czech Republic, the home country of the developer. The original Operation Flashpoint (OFP) was developed by Bohemia Interactive Studios (who own the Real Virtuality engine) and published by Codemasters (who own the Operation Flashpoint brand). ArmA and ARMA 2 are the technological successors to OFP. Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is Codemasters' independently-developed sequel.

Campaign

Harvest Red is set in autumn 2009 in a fictional post-Soviet country called Chernarus (Black Russia). The country is in a state of political unrest, with a western backed democratic government trying to hold onto power from pro-communist rebels. After many months of civil war, the communist rebels failed to overthrow the current government and set up the Socialist Republic of Chernarus. The Chernarussian government asks the west for help and the United States sends the U.S. Marine Corps via an Expeditionary Strike Group off the coast of Chernarus. The campaign starts when the U.S. Marine Corps' Force Recon is deployed to Chernarus to quell the civil war.

Bohemia Interactive revealed during E3 that the game will have a "roleplaying feel to it"; with in-game events affecting the character as well as the entire campaign. An example would be terrorizing noncombatants and losing their trust, thus encouraging them to give away valuable information to enemy forces. The entire campaign can be played either offline (singleplayer) or online (cooperative play for up to four players).

Setting

The game takes place in autumn 2009 in the eastern part of a fictional post-Soviet state called Chernarus, particularly the region of South Zagoria and the remote island of Útes.

The area of approximately 225 km² is based on actual satellite photos of České Středohoří. All necessary data is loaded silently in the background, therefore the player is at no time interrupted by any loading screens while traveling through the terrain, though there are loading screens between episodes.

THE SABOTEUR

The Saboteur is an oddity in the realm of World War II games. It follows a single man named Sean Devlin, (voiced by Robin Atkin Downes) who ends up fighting the Germans by sabotage, reminiscent of the French Resistance. A cross with a second, shorter bar above the first horizontal one of a normal cross is found in the trailer and website of the game. This is known as the Cross of Lorraine, which represents the FFF, or "Free French Forces" who fought against the Axis powers under Charles de Gaulle.

The game's protagonist, (based on war hero William Grover-Williams), is an Irish man named Sean Devlin, a regular among the racing groups of Paris. Although the German Army's grip over the area is becoming tighter everyday, he ignores their presence, until one by one his friends are killed by the Nazis, as seen in the early video preview.

This finally breaks Sean's tolerance of the German presence, and he takes up arms against them to gain his revenge. In his quest he is assisted by the French Resistance and the British Intelligence.

The player will be able to explore Nazi-occupied Paris and some of the countryside.[1] Color will be a key element in the gameplay, and players will experience an Ōkami-esque style when entering certain parts of the city.[4] In order to make that district colored ("happy") again, players must weaken the German forces occupying the area. In doing so, that district's citizens will regain their hope, characterized by the "Will to Fight" (WtF) factor.[4] In areas with low WtF, the area is dark, with color being various shades of grey (with the exception of several German flags, bright red and complete with swastika), whereas in areas with high WtF, the area is vibrant and with full color.

WtF also affects gameplay, as in areas with low WtF, the area is filled with German soldiers who patrol in most places of the map in large numbers.
It is up to the player to return color to areas of darkness.

In areas with high WtF, the Germans will not be completely evicted, but they will no longer be everywhere at once, and will primarily be centered around military bases, barracks, police stations, HQs, and other strategically important areas. In addition, the French people will play an active role in the struggle for areas with high WtF. For example, if Sean, the main character, gets in a fight with German patrols, allies like the French Resistance, Maquis, and even French passersby will intervene against the occupiers.

The primary missions will revolve around exacting revenge on high-ranking German officers and officials, and getting to the point to be able to exact vengeance. However, the presence of secondary optional missions has also been confirmed. The effects will include access to new weapons and raising the WtF for certain regions.

Players will be able to navigate the environment with a dynamic set of moves, allowing for the use of different tactics in order to complete their objectives.

SERIOUS SAM HD

The First Encounter was the first game in the series which had been in the making since 1996 and had a video showing its early game play in 2000. The First Encounter was originally developed by Croteam as a demonstrator for their engine and this is the reason why some countries saw its initial release priced at less than half the value of other games in the genre.

The game introduction reveals what happened before the game actually takes place: in ancient times, Earth was involved in a conflict between Mental and the Sirians, an alien race that left many of its artifacts to be found by humanity. In the 22nd century Mental's forces return to Earth hell-bent on eradicating humankind: as a last resort the usage of the "Time Lock" is decided: this Sirian device can send back through time a single individual who can, hopefully, defeat Mental and alter the course of history. Because of his bravery in fighting the monsters, Sam "Serious" Stone is chosen to use the "Time Lock". As the game opens, Sam appears in ancient Egypt: his travels from one Egyptian monument to the next, all the way fighting against the monsters Mental sent after him, make up most of the story of The First Encounter. During his wandering, Sam is able to activate a hidden Sirian communicator, located in Luxor, that summons to Earth a starship from the depths of space. Sam goes to the Great Pyramid for a rendezvous with the ship and, after a titanic battle against Mental's general Ugh Zan III, he is whisked on-board the Sirian starship. COLD FEAR

Plot

In Cold Fear the player takes on the role of Tom Hansen, a former soldier now in the employ of the United States Coast Guard who has been sent in to investigate a mysterious Russian whaler Eastern Spirit in the middle of the Bering strait. The beginning cut-scenes show a SEAL team under the orders of a CIA agent, identifying the ship and trying to discover its cargo. Unfortunately, the SEAL squad is slaughtered mercilessly by an unknown threat. CIA agent Bennett then orders any government vessel in the vicinity of the Russian boat to investigate, and it is Hansen's ship which responds. As Hansen, the player finds out that the boat is occupied by hostile Russian soldiers and by strange creatures, known as "exocels", that use humans and other life forms as hosts, to feed on and to use as protection from the environment. These parasites are a threat to Hansen from inside and outside their host bodies. His investigation leads to the mystery of the ship and its lethal cargo, as well as the unethical experiments which were being carried out aboard the ship.

Gameplay

In Cold Fear, players can choose between a behind-the-shoulder camera angle or a fixed camera angle. The game employs many scare tactics. For example, when opening a door, a creature may jump out at the player, or while talking to an NPC, a creature may just burst out of his chest. Cold Fear employs a stamina bar, which decreases as the player performs certain actions, like running.

The conditions on the deck of the ship can change how the player can control Hansen. Since the game takes place in the middle of the ocean during a storm, there is a lot of movement of the vessel as it bobs up and down through the rough seas. The cargo ship continuously banks left and right while Hansen is walking on deck, making it more difficult to aim and to walk in a straight line. In some instances, the ship rocks so much, and to such a great degree, that Hansen can get knocked down and possibly sent overboard. There are also many environmental hazards, like swinging electrical wires and crates hooked up to ropes, which are also affected by the swaying of the ship, and can easily crash into the player or enemies if they aren't careful. Waves crashing on to the ship's deck may also inflict damage on a player's health. The environmental hazards can also be used against enemies.
