COMMAND AND CONQUER KANE'S WRATH

In the first act of the campaign (set immediately after the conclusion of Tiberian Sun), Kane enters a bunker deep in the Earth's crust apparently healed of all injury save for his face mask. He instructs the player to begin the Rio Insurrection by taking out the GDI presence in the area. After the player succeeds, Kane informs the player of his plan to reunite the Nod splinter factions. Since he cannot risk revealing himself to the world yet, he chooses Brother Marcion, the leader of the "new" Black Hand to convey Kane's will to the Brotherhood in his stead. The player is then commanded to drive Marcion out and capture him. Brought before Kane, Marcion comes back into the fold of the Brotherhood as Kane reveals himself to him, and removes his face mask, showing a completely scar-free face. Kane then orders the player to destroy a Liquid Tiberium facility in the Australian Outback as a 'grand gesture' to the remaining splinter factions to rejoin him.

During the second act (set before and during the events of Tiberium Wars), Kane begins to lay down the plans for the destruction of the Philadelphia, commanding the player, LEGION, to steal plans for the Ion Cannon network. Since the destruction of the Philadelphia would eliminate most of GDI's leadership, Kane predicts that Redmond Boyle will be his pawn and become the Director of GDI, so as to provoke the future liquid Tiberium explosion. The player is also ordered to capture Dr. Alphonse Geraud from his research facility, explaining his disappearance in the GDI campaign of C&C3. Afterwards, Abbess Alexa Kovacs has taken the view that General Kilian Qatar is a traitor to Kane, and plans to have her discredited by attacking Temple Prime in her guise, then leaking Ion Disruptor technology to GDI,thereby leading to General Qatar's execution being ordered by Kane. She reveals her doubts and fears about LEGION, and about LEGION being connected to the Tacitus during a cutscene before a mission and also tells the player(LEGION) that CABAL's cyborgs murdered her family, and is worried as LEGION is based upon the same technology that created and powered CABAL. After the Tacitus is secured on a mission, a highly distressed Abbess Alexa loses her cool and infects LEGION's core systems with a powerful computer virus while screaming: "I cannot let you connect to the Tacitus! I will not let you usher in an age of machines. I will not be your slave! I will not!". The virus destroys LEGION's systems, and Kane is alerted to LEGION's infection and catches Abbess Alexa red-handed in the act of destroying LEGION. Kane discovers to his horror that Alexa attacked Temple Prime in Killian's guise and had Kilian executed for a crime she did not commit. Alexa snatches a pistol from one of the guards as she is about to be taken away for interrogation and aims at Kane with it. Clearly beside herself, she shouts Nod's motto "Peace through power" and then commits suicide by shooting herself in the head, just as LEGION shuts down.

In the third and final act, LEGION reawakens five years later in the post-Tiberium War 3 period, and Kane focuses it on recovering the Tacitus. GDI has been meddling with the device, causing it to become highly unstable; Kane needs the Tacitus for his master plan, so he orders the player to first awaken the Marked of Kane, a faction of cyborgs that only LEGION is capable of controlling due to its link with the destroyed CABAL. With the successful reactivation, Kane then sends the player to recover the Tacitus from GDI's NORAD. After the Tacitus's successful capture, Kane connects it to LEGION, and the AI becomes infused with the vast knowledge of the object, ending the game in a cliffhanger. The ending video shows a reverse of the Scrin campaign introduction video in C&C3.

New game content

The first DVD delivers each of the games with their most recent patches applied (except Command & Conquer: Red Alert which wasn't delivered at the latest version due to the latest patch being a beta version), all of which are bundled into a single installer. Many fans were disappointed that the original installers for the games, which were known to be very immersive and graphically pleasing, were not included. They were replaced by a single standard InstallShield wizard installer. The installer does enable the player to pick and choose what to install and what not to install, but assuming that all the games are selected, a total of 7 separate serial keys need to be entered.

The compilation comes as its own program, with a launcher which allows to choose between the installed games. A third-party shortcut installer has been made to create shortcuts for each of the individual games.

Internet multiplayer

Many fans have been disappointed by the fact that internet multiplayer did not work in the first two games upon The First Decade's release because the separate "Westwood Chat" program which they relied on had not been updated. There is a sticker stating this on the box, but it was not made clear in the pre-release publicity and as a result some users bought the compilation believing that the games, including all online capability, had been updated. While an official solution has not been introduced, a third-party patch is often used to provide a two player C&C Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert internet game, but it is not especially reliable. The unofficial patch 1.03 provided a more stable fix for this issue.

Bugs and Patches

Many bugs have been reported to be present in Electronic Arts' The First Decade pack, including some that didn't affect the original releases of the games. EA responded by releasing two patches: 1.01 and 1.02; and the possibility of a third was suggested by the C&C Community Manager, Apoc. No official third patch was ever released but an unofficial 1.03 patch was created by NathanCNC and presented on EA's CommandAndConquer.com website.

The official patches mainly fixed bugs with the First Decade software while the unofficial patch fixed bugs in the Command & Conquer and Red Alert games. It also removed unnecessary video files (freeing a gigabyte of space), integrated downloadable Westwood map packs, fixed online and LAN play for all games (except Renegade and Generals, which already had fully functional online capabilities), and included PDF manuals for each game. Apoc claimed "This patch is a MUST-HAVE for any C&C: The First Decade Owner! [sic]".

EA only provides support for their official patches and have stated they will not support this unofficial patch. However, no issues have been reported and many of the fixes it contains have been used in previous third party additions without caveat.

CODENAME: PANZERS COLD WAR

Story

The storyline starts in 1949, and follows an alternate history, with the timeline diverging into a war between the Soviets and the West. Following the defeat of the Nazis, Germany has been partitioned into Soviet and Allied zones of control, with the Soviets building up their military presence in readiness for a new war. During the Berlin airlift, a Soviet fighter collides with a US cargo plane,USSR 5 and 6 Division attack West Germany, and the next day Berlin becomes a savage battlefield between the two Superpowers. The player takes the side of either the USSR or the USA and its allies, with the storyline said to involve characters from the two previous Codename: Panzers titles. Gameplay

Codename: Panzers Cold War is a Real-time strategy similar to previous Codename: Panzers games, except that it is set in the first days of the Cold War and features a brand new graphics engine. The game has futuristic elements, with some of the technology present in the game surpassing that which was available at the time of the Berlin airlift. The game features powerful squad leaders and upgradeable units, buildings that can be destroyed or occupied to gain an advantage, a detailed physics engine and weather system.

The single player component of the game is a campaign with 18 missions, while the title also ships with over 20 multiplayer maps. Co-operative play is supported, along with team deathmatches and a "domination" mode. The game will also feature famous war machines like the famous Soviet Mi-6 which is known as the world's biggest helicopter, the first jet MiG fighter MiG-15 and its US counterpart F-86 Sabre, a few famous tanks for that time like the T-62, IS-10, T-54/55, M48 Patton, M-26 Pershing and other armored units.

The gameplay of Codename: Panzers Cold War will share several features with previous iterations of the franchise. Units will require a constant stream of munitions to function, and the interface will be familiar to players of the previous titles in the series.

ANNO 1404

As with other Anno games, the player starts as leader of an unarmed country which must colonize and expand in the game world. While the player expands their in-game territory, other computer controlled rivals are also expanding and strengthening their countries. As the player progresses through the game, they have access to lodge activities and troops which allow them to invade and ultimately to defeat other players. Anno 1404 features an updated interface, bigger islands and worlds to explore, a sandbox mode, and other features new to the Anno series

The player is sent to administer a fief granted to him by the Emperor, in the Occident. The Emperor is unwell and Lord Richard Northburgh, cousin and treasurer of the Emperor, is building a magnificent Cathedral to pray for the Emperor's health. Meanwhile, Lord Richard Northburgh teaches him the basics of Anno 1404, and requests assistance in procuring goods for the Cathedral's construction, until Guy Forcas is sent by Cardinal Lucius to prepare for a crusade. Lord Northburgh is suspicious of the great secrecy over the mission. Marie d'Artois is given command of the crusader army and Brother Hilarius, a local abbot, is ordered by Forcas to bless their weapons. The player is then ordered to build a harbor for the ships, near a settlement suspiciously named "Orphanage". Brother Hilarius comments on this until Northburgh realizes that Forcas kidnapped children from Inglebeck, Marie d'Artois' settlement. The settlement is abandoned when the vanguard of the crusaders and Marie d'Artois leaves.

A storm then starts and the ships bearing the children sail away, with the player and Northburgh in pursuit. The player then attempts to befriend the Grand Vizier of the Sultan after coming across the Orient and rescue the children. Northburgh finds out that Cardinal Lucius attempts to overthrow the Emperor, but is then arrested by Forcas and the Crusader army arrives. Marie d'Artois raids several Oriental settlements, and with the aid of the Grand Vizier, Al Zahir, Karim, a Caravan master and the scholars of the Academy of Wisdom, the player finds a wreck of a corsair ship. The scholars translate a logbook found in the wreck and the player finds a key, and with the help of an Oriental fleet, a strongbox. Inside the strongbox is a treaty between Cardinal Lucius and the corsair leader, written in blood, which provided the Crusader fleet safe passage through the corsair infested waters should the Cardinal Human trafficking children. The player, having been given a flag of truce from Brother Hilarius, who was in a local monastery, and delivers the message to Marie d'Artois. Marie and the vanguard of the Crusader fleet attempts to leave the Crusader harbour, but is under heavy fire from Forcas' fleet and the main Crusader army. Marie's flagship attempts to hold Forcas off but is heavily damaged and Marie is wounded. With the aid of his own fleet, Marie's fleet and Oriental battleships, the Player sinks the Crusader fleet and Forcas goes down with his flagship.

However, the much more numerous rearguard of the Crusader fleet, lead by Lucius himself, arrives. The player then flees to Marie's fortress-city, Edenisle, and attempts to stop Lucius' invasion of the city harbour. A ship is sent to Al Zahir to request for aid, and Barnabas, Marie's former battle-instructor and his robber barons join the player after Marie, wounded, gives command of the city to the player. After constant pounding by Lucius' heavy warships, and constant sorties by Lucius' troops, Al Zahir's fleet arrives, and the city is evacuated. The city is razed by Lucius. Al Zahir leads the refugees into the heartland of the Orient, where rumours say that the Occidental Emperor is spending his last days there, due to his mysterious illness. The player tries to request an audience, but Abbess Hildegard refuses entrance to anyone unless they are the Emperor's relative. The player, after asking a few locals, discover that Richard Northburgh is imprisoned in an Assassins' fortress. Meanwhile, Marie d'Artois has returned to the heartlands of the Occident and Phillipe Lamour, a trusted man in her service, constantly returns to the Orient with news of the battle between Marie and Lucius and requests supplies and reinforcements. The player, with the aid of Al Zahir's miners, break Northburgh out of the prison, and aid Hekata the witch and her two sisters to create a potion named "the Essence of Life". The Emperor drinks the potion, which the player and Northburgh gave him during their audience, and then Northburgh and the player leave for the Occident.

Once the player and Northburgh return to the Occident, they find the player's settlement razed, as is most of Northburgh and Marie's cities. A mad Lucius starts the construction of a Imperial Cathedral, like the one Northburgh started building, to show the Church's power on Earth and to become the most powerful man in the Church. The player tries to rebuild Northburgh's city and secure the supplies for the construction of the Cathedral. Unfortunately, Lucius had either destroyed or shut down all of the construction industries. Marie tries to assemble a fleet to destroy Lucius, and the player's Oriental allies give the player specialists to quicken the construction of the player's Cathedral. Lucius' spies attempt to sabotage the Cathedral many times, but fail. However, Lucius had seized the Academy of Wisdom and its scholars, and so the player "acquired" Lucius' Colours from Karim in exchange for some paper, and delivers a strongbox from Al Zahir to the unsuspecting Lucius, who forwards it to the Academy. The chief researcher opens the strongbox and a sandstorm destroys Lucius' buildings and troops on the island. The grateful scholars give the player a tome which speeds up the construction of the Cathedral significantly, and when it is finished, the player's city has a mysterious plague, like the illness that befell the Emperor. Karim, the caravan master, exchanges the last sample of the "Essence of Life" which he had acquired from the witches, and Northburgh distributes it among the city's residents, healing them. Then the Emperor and the Imperial fleet arrives, and the player is ordered to destroy Lucius' fleet with a combined fleet consisting of the player's, Marie's and the Imperial fleet and destroys Lucius' fleet utterly. Lucius is captured, who attempts to convince the player to spare him, is brought before the Emperor, who has Lucius condemned and sent to prison, but it is not shown in the game how Lucius met his fate. The Emperor, Northburgh, Marie, Al Zahir and the Sultan thank the player and the player is given the title "Saviour of the Realm".

By 232BC, during the Hellenistic period, many great empires have risen to power on the world stage. In the West, the nations that once made up Alexander the Great's mighty empire are crumbling and conflicts and political differences are plaguing the region. Carthage and Rome are bitter rivals fighting to dominant and eliminate each other from the area surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. At the same time, the typically peaceful Egyptian Empire is at war with the Selecuid Empire as an act of revenge against a murder plot by the Selecuid king that secured his claim to the throne. In the Northeast, the Huns threaten the northern Chinese states as the Qin dynasty fights to unify China and in Southeast Asia, the death of the great ruler Ashoka has left the nation in a state of flux. Game Strategy

Strength & Honour 2 is an empire building turn-based and real-time battle strategy war game that is set in the ancient world. The game allows the player to take the seat of an ancient ruler. They have eight civilizations to choose from with over 25 nations from Rome, Carthage, Egypt, Persia and the Gauls in the West to China, the Huns and Maurya in the East. Rather than kill monsters and find treasure, Strength & Honour 2 takes the player back in history to a time when empires were built not just through wars and a life of the sword, but the player must face the real obstacle of ruling a nation; maintaining peace and unity within the empire.

Building an empire is one thing, but sustaining one is a whole other matter. As the player builds up the empire’s foundation through sword and might and expands across the world, the internal problems of running an empire start surfacing and requires more attention from the player. Local governors may demand more of their fair share of the wealth and land in the empire, the expedition marshal may overshadow the ruler’s popularity and became more of a threat to the ruler than foreign enemies or generals may start to form political parties that begin to dictate the direction of the player's commands and so on.

Strength & Honour 2 shows the player the trials and tribulations on the road to creating a truly successful empire.

Battle Mode

Battle Mode allows the player to organize and control their army and engage an opposing army in battle. They can enter this mode when they engage with an enemy army or when the player attacks a city or an enemy army attacks one of the player's cities in World Mode. The player will be prompted to personally lead their troops into battle or allow the computer to decide a winner. If the player chooses to lead their army, then the will enter Battle Mode which gives the player the power to set attack formations and strategize an attack pattern that will allow the plater to beat their opponent even if the player's troops are outnumbered.

Using a 3-D terrain system the battles are in real-time and the cities and terrain in battle are both vivid and realistic with backgrounds from all over the known world. Weather patterns, the time of attack and the morale of troops all have an impact on the outcome of the battle and make for battles that are always interesting and surprising.

Facilities

In Strength & Honour 2, the facilities that a player can build in their cities a very important to maintaining a successful empire. Depending on the personalities and desires of the player's subjects, different types of buildings will need to be built to maintain a high level of happiness. If the player fails to satisfy the desires of their generals then a city may revolt and attempt to break away from the player's nation. Key facilities include: Farms, Courthouses, Schools, Barracks and Marketplaces.

STRONGHOLD 2

In the game, the player plays as a knight who rules over a medieval castle. With his available resources, the player places buildings or features, including many different kinds of food production, industry, civil, or military buildings and defences. Available peasants automatically choose jobs whenever a building requires one, so player micromanagement is minimal, he mostly needs to set up the various buildings in an efficient way while providing safety for his peasants. Military units are directly controlled individually or in groups, sometimes quite large with sieges or battles involving many hundreds on each side. One welcome addition to the original stronghold is the inclusion of estates, that a player can "buy" with his accumulated honor (gained by popularity, holding feasts, dances, jousting, etc.). Estates are semi-independent villages (without castle fortifications) that produce their own goods that the owner can send through carts to his castle or his allies. The inclusion of fully 3D-rendered graphics allowed Stronghold 2 to include tower interiors as battlegrounds for units, and the ability to go observe castle inhabitants very closely, which is useful considering the new features of waste & rat management. As in the original Stronghold, players can choose very different styles of play modes: Kingmaker, Siege, War Campaign, Peace Campaign, Freeplay, Custom scenario, and in Multiplayer. An extensive map editor allows for endless replayability.

The story is set in the Medieval ages, Sir William recruits Matthew Steele (the player) as his page. Sir William was captured by unknown enemies but was later saved by Steele. Managing to escape, Sir William and Steele returned to his encampment. Sir William then teaches Steele how to manage his own town and castle (as you progress you can upgrade your encampment with better fortifications) he assigns you two non-playable advisers who guide you through the rest of the game. (1) Tom Simpkins who guides you economically, giving advice such as "build a number of farms to produce food". (2) Constable Briggs who guides you in battle by warning about attacks and advising on strategy in sieges and such. At the time of Steele being taught how to run a successful town, Olaf, leader of the Norse led his army to the lands where people had settled. During that time, Steele has to find a way to escape Olaf's army. After he defeats Olafs troops Sir William then takes him to the castle of Lady Seren aka the Lamb, were you then have to siege the keep and free Edwin (aka An English Traitor), Edwin then makes you a knight and gives you some land for the next mission. When you arrive in the borderlands you see that there are many problems there, one being that Sir Grey is under siege, some monks are being trapped by wolfs, and there are many bandits harassing the towns. After you relieve the monks, Sir Grey, deal with the bandits, and assault the Bull, you go back to the monastery, only to find Olaf entrenched in a fortress there. When Olaf's fortress is leveled, you are attacked by Edwin. You track Olaf to Edwin's county. There you kill Olaf, conquer six or more counties, and siege Edwin, who begs you to spare his life. You honor his request, putting him in the stocks. Shortly after you move into Edwin's castle, you are assaulted by the Hawk, Lamb, and Hammer. In the midst of battle, The Lamb changes sides. When the enemy is defeated, you are posed with a choice. Follow the Hawk and the Hammer, or the Lamb and William.

If you follow the Hammer, you will first have to kill The Lamb. After, you defeat Sir William. Last, you have to make a race to kill the king before the Hawk or the Hammer do so to achieve the Crown and gain rule over the country. In an after-cutscene, you see the Hammer and the Hawk swearing fealty to Steele (You).

If you follow Sir William, you will have to save the Abby of the Lamb from being captured by the Hawk and the Hammer. After, you will have to help William in his fight against the Hawk. The Hawk is killed in this battle, but the Hammer fires a crossbow into sir Grey's chest, killing him. In the next mission, you siege the Hammer and capture him. In the ending cutscene, the Hammer is seen in a wooden cage, suffering as a child throws vegetables at him.

STARCRAFT 2

According to its creators, StarCraft II is designed to be the "ultimate competitive real-time strategy game", building on the successes enjoyed by its predecessor, StarCraft. It features the return of the three races from the original game—Protoss, Terran, and Zerg; Blizzard states these are the only playable races in the game. StarCraft II is also designed to focus more heavily on the multiplayer aspect, when compared to the original StarCraft. The changes include overall improvement in Battle.net, a new competitive "ladder" system for ranked games and new matchmaking mechanics—designed to "match-up" players of equal skill levels. In addition, the replay function, which allows players to record and review past games, is being improved. Blizzard has also stated they have made some changes to the game that were suggested by fans.

StarCraft II continues its predecessor's use of pre-rendered cinematic cut scenes to advance the plot while also improving the quality of in-game cut scenes within the levels themselves, which are rendered on-the-fly using the same game engine as the graphics in the game proper. Blizzard states that with the new graphics engine that StarCraft II uses to render the gameplay, they "can actually create in-game cut-scenes of near-cinematic quality".

Most Protoss and Terran units, and some Zerg units, have been shown on the StarCraft II official website, and in several video demonstrations held by Blizzard. Improvements include advanced scenery allocation and more detailed space terrain, such as floating space platforms with planets and asteroids in the background. Small cliffs, extensions, and even advertising signs were also shown to have been improved and refined.

The new Terran briefing system allows the player to explore the inside of the battlecruiser Hyperion.

The single-player aspect of StarCraft II has also been altered substantially from the original game. The Terran campaign shown at BlizzCon 2007 replaced the original StarCraft briefing room with an interactive version of the battlecruiser Hyperion, with Jim Raynor, now a bitter and hard-drinking mercenary captain, as the central character. In a departure from previous Blizzard games, the campaign is non-linear, with Raynor taking jobs for money and using that money to buy additional units and upgrades. Although each playthrough will vary, the end result will remain consistent keeping the storyline linear. Vice president Rob Pardo has stressed that each campaign will function very differently. The Terran campaign, Wings of Liberty, will place players in a mercenary style campaign, as Terran rebel Jim Raynor performs missions for cash. The second release, the Zerg campaign Heart of the Swarm, will have RPG elements. The player will level up the Queen of Blades, Kerrigan, throughout the missions. The last expansion, the Protoss campaign Legacy of the Void, the dark templar Zeratul will have to employ diplomacy between Protoss tribes to acquire units and technologies for each mission. Each campaign should span 26-30 missions.

Lead Designer Dustin Browder, has discussed with Shacknews some of the unique missions that may be included in the Wings of Liberty campaign. In one level, lava floods the battlefield every five minutes, forcing the player to move their units to high ground or watch their units get destroyed. In another mission, enemy units will only attack the player at night. In another mission, the player tries to influence the tide of an AI controlled battle with only a single unit, a Ghost. The single player missions will be highly customizable. In between missions, players can choose units, buildings and upgrades that are not available in the multiplayer missions.

Galaxy Editor[citation needed], replaces the StarEdit as StarCraft II's campaign editor. It will be more sophisticated than StarCraft's StarEdit and WarCraft III's World Editor for creating custom maps and mods. Units from the original StarCraft not in the multiplayer version of StarCraft II, along with units and abilities that were scrapped during the development process, will be available in the editor. Chris Sigaty, Lead Producer, has also stated that the editor will give players the ability to create RPG, Hero-type units and structures resembling those from WarCraft III. At Blizzcon 2009, Blizzard demonstrated a build of the Galaxy Editor showcasing its capabilities, such as the ability to customize the User-Interface to include features such as the Item system from Warcraft III, Blizzard also commented that it would like to include a Third-Person style perspective for missions though it may not be in the final build.

Units

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty features approximately the same number of units as the original game. Some units from the original game are returning, some featuring new upgrades and abilities. For example, the Protoss zealot, a melee unit from the original game, now has the ability to dash forward and quickly reach nearby enemies as a refinement of their speed upgrade from the original. Other units have been replaced or removed entirely. Other changes to unit design have been inspired by story events in StarCraft and its expansion, Brood War, replacing old units with new or renamed versions which sport different attributes and abilities.

Units in Starcraft II have new abilities, compared to the original, that encourage more complex interaction with the game environment. Among these are the inclusion of units that can traverse varying levels of terrain, or have the ability to teleport short distances. Some Protoss units can be warped in to pylon-powered areas using the Warp Gate, a slight modification of the existing building called the Gateway. Starcraft II's campaign will also have exclusive units which would only be playable in the campaign and not in the multiplayer modes of the game. These units mostly consists of units which have been scrapped from development such as the Terran Cobra as well as various returning units from the original Starcraft such as the Terran Goliath, Wraith and Vulture.

Characters and setting

The campaign storyline of StarCraft II takes place four years after StarCraft: Brood War, and features the return of a number of characters from the original series; including Zeratul, Arcturus Mengsk, Artanis, Sarah Kerrigan, and Jim Raynor. Players will also revisit original series' worlds, like Char, Mar Sara, and Braxis; as well as new worlds, such as the jungle planet Bel'Shir. It has been confirmed that the Xel'Naga, the ancient space-faring race responsible for creating the Protoss and the Zerg, play a major role in the story.

Backstory

A Zerg colony gathering resources and expanding military

At the conclusion of Brood War, Kerrigan and her Zerg forces became the dominant faction in the Koprulu Sector, having annihilated the United Earth Directorate's Expeditionary Force, defeated the Terran Dominion, and invaded the Protoss homeworld of Aiur. However, after the conclusion of Brood War, Kerrigan retreats to Char, despite having more than enough power to crush all remaining resistance in the Koprulu Sector. In the four years leading up to the events of StarCraft II, she has not been seen or heard from by any of the other characters; although her ultimate attack may come at any moment.

Arcturus Mengsk has been left to rebuild the Dominion, and is consolidating his power while fending off harassment from rival Terran groups. Valerian Mengsk, a character introduced in the novel Firstborn, will play an important role in Dominion politics, due to his position as heir apparent to the throne. Meanwhile, Jim Raynor, whose role in the events of StarCraft and Brood War has been marginalized by the media under the Dominion's control, has been reduced to mercenary status, and has been shown to be doing business with the "Moebius Foundation", a new faction which is interested in ancient Xel'Naga artifacts. Chris Metzen, Vice President of Creative Development at Blizzard, has emphasized that by the events of StarCraft II, Raynor has become jaded and embittered by the way he was used and betrayed by Arcturus Mengsk. Other new characters to the series include Tychus Findlay, first introduced in the StarCraft II teaser cinematic, a marine who will be a member of Raynor's crew, and Matt Horner, Raynor's second in command, a character originally featured in the novel Queen of Blades.

Following the fall of Aiur and the death of their matriarch Raszagal, the Protoss have retreated to the dark templar homeworld of Shakuras. There, Artanis, a former student of Tassadar, is trying to unify the Khalai Protoss and the dark templar, who have nearly separated into a tribal mindset as a result of centuries of distrust. Zeratul, tormented over the murder of his matriarch, has disappeared to search for clues to the meaning of Samir Duran's cryptic statements regarding the Protoss/Zerg hybrids in Brood War's secret mission "Dark Origin".

COMMAND AND CONQUER RED ALERT 3 UPRISING

Plot

The Soviet and Allied campaign assume that the Allies' had achieved victory in Red Alert 3, while in the Imperial campaign, the Allies and the Soviets still have a peace treaty.

Soviet Campaign

The Soviet campaign focuses on the remaining Soviet resistance trying to stop FutureTech, the Allied defense contractor, which plans to create a super weapon called the "Sigma Harmonizer" (a device to selectively stop time).

Allied Campaign

The Allied campaign concentrates on defeating several renegade Imperial warlords who still resist Allied occupational forces. Emperor Tatsu has seemingly begun to cooperate with the Allies, but ends up with trying to defeat the commander, as his power is restored by the fall of Takara, the last enemy commander in the Allied campaign.

Imperial Campaign

The Empire's campaign covers the fight against the Soviets who attempt to conquer parts of Japan. The Allies are also partially involved. Emperor Tatsu greets the commander at first mission. On the second he orders the commander to protect the tomb of his father Yoshiro, the Emperor of the Rising Sun in Red Alert 3.

Yuriko Campaign

The Yuriko campaign recounts the story of her creation, her captivity by the Allies and her fight to rescue her sister. The Yuriko campaign uses different controls and camera than the rest of the game, allowing only to see the screen in which Yuriko is located and disabling the sidebar including minimap.
